The archive

A decade of a cat that was never on the payroll. Everything filed here carries a label saying what kind of thing it is, because a documented fact and a good story should not look alike.

The machine the joke was born on. The ninja cat spread through the Windows 10 era as an internal in-joke, never as an official mascot.Project artwork

    Narrative

    NINJACAT.EXE

A terminal-styled narrative written for the archive. It is fiction, it runs entirely in the browser, and it downloads or executes nothing.

Written for this archive. Not a documented event.

NINJACAT.EXE

A short piece of fiction kept beside the archive rather than inside it. It is text on a page: nothing is downloaded, nothing is executed, and leaving it closed costs you no information.
